What is 360 Feedback?

An employee feedback process whereby an employee is rated using surveys or forms distributed to their colleagues, manager(s) and customers. The 360 feedback output is used to rank employees during and performance appraisal period and also to help them develop.

360 feedback allows each individual to understand how their effectiveness as an employee, peer or team member is viewed by those they work with. The most productive 360 degree feedback processes provide insights that are based on behaviors which other employees perceive.

This feedback reveals the skills and behaviors desired to achieve the objectives, goals, intentions and purpose of the organization. Rooted in the need to surpass customer expectations, the feedback illustrates the necessary behaviors to attain these ends.
